Dating entrepreneur Dennie Smith is hosting her first real-world dating event next month to get serious singles bonding over a day of archery and axe-throwing.

Dennie is the founder of Old Style Dating, a dating website for the modern age which promotes traditional values of respect and romance.

She set it up as an antidote to the dating sites and apps which seems to offer only short-term flings, hook-ups and where profiles can be faked or simply inappropriate.

“This is a natural progression for me to run an event like this – just for a few people – to allow them to try out a new skill and network together in a non-pressured environment.

“This will be the first of several events we have planned and we felt it worked well around Valentine’s Day which can be very depressing for the single person who would rather not be single. In a way this is an event ‘with strings attached’!”

The Old Style Dating Archery and Axe-throwing event will be held in Horsham, West Sussex on Saturday February 22 between 11am and 2pm (approximate ending) and the cost is £38 per attendee (maximum of 12).
